Welcome to Holdrege Public Schools
Thanks for visiting our website. Holdrege Public Schools became a school district in 1884, with the first class graduating in 1890. We are proud of our past and excited for our future!
Our student achievement scores are consistently well above the state and national averages. Our 3rd-8th graders are currently performing better than 75% of students across on the country on national reading assessments. Our scores on Nebraska’s state assessments are some of the highest in the area in reading, math, and science.
We offer a well-rounded curriculum that has something for everyone. Our 11th and 12th graders are able to participate in dual credit courses that earn college credit.
Holdrege Public Schools students are afforded numerous opportunities to use technology to enrich their educational experiences. All students in grades 4-12 are provided their own Chromebook through the district’s one-to-one technology program. Students in grades K-3 also have numerous opportunities to work with various forms of technology throughout each school week.
Our school facilities have seen significant upgrades over the past five years. We have a beautiful and spacious elementary school that was built in 2015. Our 5th-8th grade middle school was built in 1991. Our high school has a proud history after being built in 1960. It has seen many upgrades in recent years as well.
