Elementary Information from Mrs. Porter (Spanish translation attached)

Christy Drews

Good afternoon Preschool and K-4 HES families!
Teachers have been working on packets to send home to you and cleaning out student lockers. We will have
those items available for pick up at scheduled times. We have not rushed to share this information as we
wanted to make sure it is up to date as things change daily and hourly.
We will have educational enrichment packets and items from students lockers available to you on Thursday
and Friday. At the elementary we are doing this by last names. We are doing this so that families can pick up
all of their childrens’ things at one time. If you have more than one last name in your family, choose one time
for your whole family.
The packet will have work for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks you will return it and get another packet.
In the packet there is some guidance for families on the length of time to spend on work. We will give you
more instructions on this process later. There are also some possible learning activities that you may choose
to do listed as well. You will be able to communicate with your child’s teacher by email with any questions on
the learning materials.
Here are the following pick up times:
Thursday, March 26, 2020
A-E- Thursday 8:00-10:00 AM
F-J-10:00 AM-12:00 PM
K-O–1:00-3:00 PM
Friday, March 27, 2020
P-T-8:00-10:00 AM
V-Z-10:00 AM-12:00 PM
If none of these times work for your family we will be available both nights (Thursday March 26 and Friday
March 27) from 6:00-7:00 PM. Please remember to maintain appropriate personal distance from others.
You will be able to pick up items at the front doors or back doors that meet the commons. Please use this time
to return any textbooks or library books to the school.
Thank you for your patience with us as we are trying to communicate with you in a timely manner. We will
continue to communicate via our web page, emails, social media, and our messaging system.
