National Junior Art Honor Society To Paint Mural

Betty Bricker

by Brandy Edgren

The National Junior Art Honor Society has been busy this year with fundraisers!  We have had bake sales, sold crafts, and are getting ready for our dodgeball tournament this Saturday, January 27th.  However, a highlight of our year will completing another mural for the middle school.  The first mural painted in the cafeteria was designed by Carli Janssen.  The second mural was painted outside the art room and was designed by Lauren Titus.  This year we are painting outside the 8th grade math room.  Three students came up with the winning design:  Trace Anderson, Carolyn Hill, and Sara Nelson.  Although this design was chosen, it is our goal as a club to make sure that all of our murals match in style throughout the school.  We made a few changes to the original design so it looked more like the graffiti style we have focused on for the other two murals.  We will be starting this mural very soon.  Stop by and see our progress as we work.  Thanks for all of your support.
