This year’s National Junior Art Honor Society is off the ground and running.  We have enjoyed a kick off party where we painted rock characters and created a group splatter painting involving canvas, darts, balloons, and paint, played some backyard baseball, and had a cookout.  We also spent our first meeting electing officers and creating almost 100 greeting cards that we are planning to sell at our fundraisers.  Our first fundraiser was Monday, September 18th at the middle school 7th grade volleyball game.  We had a bake sale and sold our handmade cards.  We will do it all again on October 10.  Please come to one of our fundraisers and help us out.  We are raising money to help with travel expenses to art museums.  This spring our group will go to the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha for the day.  We are trying to organize a big trip to possibly New York City in spring 2020.  Students will raise funds as middle school students, but travel as high school students with the NAHS club.  We are still in the planning phases of this trip.  Thanks so much for your support.
